ACADEMICALLY: CADA PREP encourages their
student-athletes to make academics relevant in their lives. Our
student-athletes have tailored options to succeed.
CADA PREP students learn in a variety of
part-time settings: Centre High Campus, Metro Continuing
Education, PASS - Part-Time Alternative Self-Paced School, and
online learning through EPSB, ECSD, or ELK ISLAND.
CADA PREP student-athletes can get
a jump start on transferable college credit in part-time open
studies courses or programs at MacEwan University, University of
Alberta, Norquest College, Concordia University, and NAIT.
GED prep is available with our
staff. Our staff is tireless in their efforts to support and
empower our CADA PREP student-athletes to
become self-confident, resilient, independent learners able to
meet the academic and athletic demands at the college (CCAA,
USPORT, NCAA D1-D2-D3, NAIA, JUCO) level.
ATHLETICALLY:
We have skills and systems training sessions four times a week
with two games/scrimmages per week (Tournaments are multiple
games per weekend).
CADA PREP
student-athletes have two strength/plyometrics training sessions
per week at LA Fitness.
CADA PREP is one of the most economical
post-grad basketball program in the country, bar none. Due to
CADA PREP focus on basketball and academic
programming mainly in the Edmonton and surrounding areas, any
student-athlete requiring housing we have arrangements with
local college residences. CADA Prep uses a
transparent shared-cost model for tuition that covers: gym
rentals, game gear and swag, transportation to away
games/scrimmages at prep schools and colleges, flights, hotel
accommodations and personal incidentals.
As an
ongoing process, CADA Prep staff are always
seeking sponsors from individuals, community businesses, large
companies and student-athlete fundraising to lower
fees. With academic success, and amplified playing exposure
at the Prep level, our student-athletes explore scholarships and
college education that were once a dream.
